Clean Technology - Bioclimatic Design

ECOBEST reinforced wall system makes a significant contribution to sustainable development:

It is certified by the Center for Renewable Energy Resources & Saving (CRES).

It offers high energy benefits leading to increased efficiency of heating and cooling of buildings.

It reduces the environmental impacts of the construction life cycle as it relies on the use of recyclable and environmentally friendly materials.

It improves the quality of the interior of the building through natural ventilation, increasing its overall life span.

It contributes to addressing the greenhouse effect and global warming through its high energy efficiency leading to an immediate reduction in CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.

It avoids waste, both during the production of wall panels as well as during their installation.

ECOBEST technology is considered clean bioclimatic technology.

Sustainability of Polystyrene

Expanded polystyrene EPS is the main component of ECOBEST wall system which is a 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly material.

Benefits of using EPS in relation to the Environment

Extremely Safe
EPS is not toxic, it is completely inert. It does not contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs) throughout its life. Also, EPS contains no nutritional value and therefore there is no risk of fungi or microorganisms.

Recyclable
EPS can be recycled in many ways when it can no longer be used in its original form. Some of these ways are to recycle it directly into new construction products or use it as clean fuel in order to recover its energy content. The choice of recycling method is based on technical, environmental and economic studies.

Health issues
EPS does not endanger health both during installation and during use. EPS does not scratch hands, nor irritates skin or mucous membranes. Working condition rules do not require the use of gloves or masks when using such a soft and compact material. EPS is biologically inert and does not produce any pathogenic dust, even in the long run. As a result, EPS is equally safe for those who install it and for those who use it.

It meets all fire and safety requirements
All EPS construction applications, as promoted by the European EPS industry, comply with local construction regulations in each European country.
